Our Basic Esthetics Program

Our Basic Esthetics program is designed to equip aspiring skincare professionals with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills needed to succeed in the beauty and wellness industry. This comprehensive course provides a solid foundation in the science of skincare, professional treatment techniques, and client careβ€”all taught in a supportive, real-world learning environment.

Core Techniques:Β 
Master the essential services every esthetician should know, including proper cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, facial massage, mask application, and skin analysis. You’ll practice these techniques on real clients under the guidance of experienced instructors to build both skill and confidence.

Skin Types and Conditions:Β 
Develop the ability to accurately identify various skin types and conditions such as acne, sensitivity, dryness, and aging. Learn to customize treatments and product recommendations to help clients achieve their skincare goals safely and effectively.

Sanitation and Safety Protocols:Β 
Learn the industry’s best practices for infection control, tool disinfection, and creating a clean and welcoming treatment environment. Our training emphasizes client safety and compliance with Washington State regulations, ensuring you’re prepared to work in any professional setting.

Licensing Requirements: At Olympia School of Advanced Skincare, our program equips you with the essential skills and knowledge to prepare for the state board exam, which is required to become licensed in WA State. Your Career As an Esthetician

Our skincare school graduates are ready for diverse careers in the beauty industry. They can thrive as licensed estheticians in salons, spas, or wellness centers, specializing in services like lash extensions and brow shaping, work as skincare consultants, or even start their own clinics or studios.

While we cannot guarantee employment, we facilitate career readiness through our Externship Program, forging valuable partnerships with prominent salons and spas in our vicinity. This initiative affords students the chance to immerse themselves in firsthand experience.

What are the schedules like for this program?

Currently, we only offer a Hybrid Program:

  • Hybrid Schedule: Monday – Wednesday In Person Training (8:30 am – 4:30 pm) / Online Training that can be done anytime during the remaining days of the week.
How much does your Basic Esthetics program cost?
